that was a quick week
hy family. how are all of you? life is great down here. we had zone conference this week....and as usual, that was an awesome experience. i think the world of president summerhays. he is so awesome. he told me that i would most likely be staying in callaway, with elder cosby, until i finish my mission. trust, i am completely fine with that.
this past week was really good. we were able to set a baptismal date with Hannah Hatcher. she is a ten yr old that we are teaching. he parents have been less active for a while, but they want to start coming back. the date is for Nov 22. the best part of all is she and her family went ot church. that has been the hold up for the past couple of weeks, but they are finally coming to church.
we are still working with Kathy Kelley, too. no date for baptism, but we are still teaching her.
our bishop approached us yesterday and gave us great news.....a little background, there is a guy (Jim) that has been meeting with missionaries for over a year. he knows the church is true, but has not gotten baptized because he is not divorced from his past marriage and he was living with his girlfriend, who is a member.
well, the member girlfrien has 2 boys, who are 12 and 14, and Jim has been supporting them....financially and such. well, the past few months, the mom was excommunicated and is in the hospital(rehab) and jim is taking care of the kids. well jim could not be baptized because he was living with his girlfriend....but the bishop has now given approval to have him be baptized.....given he is not living with her anymore. so we are going to tell him the good news tomorrow at our appt. we are stoked.
but thats about all for now. we are doing great. life is good.
