hi family...
yeah so this week was pretty cool. as for my tooth, everyhing is getting better. the medicine iam taking helps soo much. there is no more pain or swelling. i can kind of feel it still, no the pain or even discomfort, but i can feel it still there, but it is nearly gone.
funny story about the medicice. i was all worried about paying for it, as you remember, so dad you put some $ on the card just in case, well the gocery store i went to, their pharmacy doesnt charge anything for oral perscriptions....so it didnt cost anytihg. kind of funny. buit thank you for all of the help.
and dad, i did get your email this week, and as for my license, do whatever is easiest. i dont care about having any updated picture or anything.but go ahead and do whatever is most convenient.
so as for laura...she is doing awesome. everything is still on for the 21. she didnt make it to church because she woke up late, but she called and apologized and said not to worry.
mischa is doing real well also. she worked on sunday, so she didnt make it, but at the appt we had with her, we talked about baptism. she says that she understands everything and it is all clear, but she wants to make sure it is right and she wants to study some more before she makes thats choice. she said that she is going into this believing it is true. she is continuing to read and pray.
tom made it to chruch, but we were not able to meet with him this past week but we are all set for thursday to meet with him.
on friday, we had a dinner at the edwards, some of my absolute favorite people in the world, and we talked about some non members they know. there is an 18 yr old boy in our branch, brett briant, that is the only member in his family. his girlfriend is one of the edwards daughters, so the edwards and the briants are really close. carl briant, bretts dad, has met with missionaries before and honestly has a testimony of the church, but how we see it, his wife is holding him back.
she's not anti, but she doesnt like the "stigma" that comes from being a "mormon" (in her words). she was out of town this week, so we committed sister edwards to call him and invite him to church, so she did....and guess what, he showed up. while there, in sac meeting, he got up and bore his testimony. not so much a "i know the church is true" testimony, but more a testimony of the love of god and power of prayer....but we know he felt the power of the Holy Ghost if he felt the need to go up and testify. it was really neat.
we dont want to come off over bearing, so we are letting the edwards work with him. his wife is out of town til wednesday, so we are going to see if we can stop by before that. please pray for carl briant.
thata really all for this week. it was a good week. so this just hit me THIS WEEK...it really put it into perspective for me on how hard i need to work....i am the second oldest zone leader in the mission (oldest meaning: length of time out on a mission) there is only one that has been out longer than me and he goes home in 4 weeks. crazy.
