hey guess what....
we had a great week. ill start out with the best news yet. tom greaux has accepted the invitation to be baptized on June 28th. we had an appt with him and it went really well.
now i have to tell you about how the appt went. tom's feelings about the church are apathetic, so he thinks. he doesnt see anything wrong with it, but it doesn't stand out to him either. we decided to do a little routine with him....to get him to feel the difference in feelings. we told him to pay close attention to the feelings he has.
at first me and elder kicker both bore opposite testimonies and told him how we are both wasting our time and money. we told him the BoM was fake and that living eternally with his wife isn't actually an option because when we die, its ALL over. then we asked him how he felt. he said that he wanted to laugh.
then we both bore sincere testimony to him and asked him how he felt. and he said there was a major difference. we asked about setting a date, one as a goal, so that he can have an idea what he is progressing towards. we let him pick the date. june 28 isn't too far but isn't too close and if all goes well, then he can very well move the date forward but if he doesn't feel ready, then he can push it back.
we talked about how that shows God out commitment and willingness to act. it was really good.
as for other investigators? nothing too special. we have an appt this week with a referral that sounds really good, but we will wait and see. but that is all for now. that's all for now.
love ya'll.
