Hello from Niceville
well, i am sure yall are anxious to hear about the new EVERYTHING......niceville was a car area, but the day i got there, they had to take the car and put it into an area that was re opening....so we are on bikes....there are a WHOLE LOT more hills here than p city, so im definitely gettng my work out.
my new companion is elder replogle, from walnut creek california. as for getting along, its okay. we are really different....and neither of us are perfect, but we'll try and make the best of it.....he has only been a member since 2004, which is really neat. we live in a member's home, but on a side apt, if that makes sense. it is connected to their very big and beautiful home, but it is just like a small apt. the second day i got here, we walked about 16 miles, so all of the sudden it hit me that we dont have a car, haha.
we are in ward with a whooooole lot of potential...me and elder replogle have completely diff ways of doing things....and to make it a little more crazy we are BOTH senior companion and BOTH district leader.......president summerhays really does it a whole lot different than pres ertel. but i really love the people in the ward and stuff.
everyone really seems fired up about missionary work. just yesterday, at ward conference, our bishop AND stake pres. spoke about member missionary work! so that is awesome. with out a car or washer and dryer, our p days just got really busy! we do our laundry, one load at a time, at a member's vacant home and then from there we go and do email. after this we will go shopping, and our ward mission leader's wife is nice enough to come and pick up our groceries in her car and we'll bike home. chaos i tell ya, haha.
but there are a few people we are teaching and we just picked up a new investigator on friday from a part member family. SWEET.
well, thats all for now. dad, i dindt get your letter, but elder rose said he forwarded it. thanks for all yall do....i hope me and my companion and look past our many differences.
