hey guys,
as far as i know, andre was baptized. i called on tues(the day before it was scheduled) and kleinman said it was still on. i tried calling today to get the final word, but they didnt answer.
first off, thanks so much for the package. i really appreciate it(and so do my roomies). the york family we are teaching made a really neat comment. traci york(the nonmember), has been real quiet about a baptismal date. she doesnt want to set one til she feels she is ready. she comes to sacrament but then leaves to work. bro york(her less active husband) stayed for the whole thing. he told us that they have been through 3 sets of missionaries and we are the only ones getting to her. she told us at our last appt. that she is realllly close to setting a date. bro york told us that she said if she doesnt get baptized while WE(elder kicker and i) are here, then she probably wont. this made us real excited. we think we are going to bring up a date next appt so that she can pray and think about it. thats all for investigators.
we are working with two recent converts. one is named Kit and she is stellar. the other is heather. this is a sad story. after her baptism, on her car drive home, elder kicker, elder mass(i took his place), and the ward mission leader pulled up next to her at a red light and they looked over at her and she was smoking!. her hair was still wet from being baptized! we are really trying to work with her on her smoking problems. she is moving to cali in may.....its a real sad situation.
we are really gonna start focussing on members now. get in their homes and show them this awesome 15 min movie about member missionary work called, "by small and simple things" it is really cool. hey dad, im excited for your letter this week...you asked me what kind of talks i would like or are approved.....if it has the church of jesus christ of latter day saints logo stamped on it...its good.....especially with talks. one talk that i really love is... "the great apostasy" by hyrum smith. that is really neat and interesting. but anything will work.
i wrote the fam a letter this morning and it is in the mailbox as we speak. we are realy busy here in P-city.....wrkin our tails off....i love it. love you all soooooo much.
