New Mission President

so, ill answer your question first, mom. my cold got pretty bad monday and worse on tuesday.....we stayed in most of the day tuesday while i rested. i asked everyone in the apt to pray for me and the next day i was better. it was quite a miracle. i was sooo sinussy and congested, but the next morning i was almost at 100% better. my tooth is still fine. all is well health wise.

this week, on saturday, we got to meet the new mission president. he is such a geniune(not sure if that is the right spelling) person. i know that he is the right person for this place. he was originally called as a MISSIONARY with his wife to singapore, then president packer asked them if he could "tamper" with their mission call. their call got changed to mission president in scottland....due to some health reasons, that got delayed and their call go changed to here. they are CERTAIN that they are here in this mission for a reasos. they expressed that and they are here to do the LORDS work. they are the nices people ever. i am really excited to work with them.

yesterday, at church, shawn and julie came. we were soooo excited. they were only gonna stay for 2 hrs, but stayed for it all. it was soo neat. on saturday, we taught them about after death, like spirit world and kingdoms of glory, and they tottally understood it all. they believed and accepted it too. they are really moving forward. their baptismal date is still set for aug 11. i sure hope me AND kicker will be here for it. they came to church for a testimony meeting that was awesome! alot of good testimonies, but one very special one.

every monday night, me and elder kicker go to a less active family's home for dinner named the knights. they have a friend that is there almost always. he, bruce, is a member, but denies ever being baptized and is really against the church. he was diagnosed with cancer awhile ago...but it went away. it is now back and very bad. he came to church with the knights. he was using a cane and looked real bad. at the end of the meeting, bruce got up in front of the congregation...he couldnt make it to the pulpit so he just was at the front and spoke loud. he said how he was so thankful for all that was said that day and he was very sorry for now knowing anyone. he said that he hasnt been to church in 30 yrs, but for some reason feels right at home.....everyone in the meeting was crying. it was real neat.

thank you so much for all of you prayers and fasts. i love you guys so much. i dont know if the package has come yet, i sure hope so. elder beesley is here in Panama city becuase they had to bring their car down to get fixed. he is spending the day with us. its gonna be fun. love you all sooo much :)
